Just got into podcasts heavily the past year or so. Then the switch to luminary. Sorry. Not for 7.99 when I’ve got like 10+ other podcasts all queued up in Apple Podcast app to choose from. I think they need an option where say the latest 2-4 weeks of shows are premium and older shows are either free or available in some cheaper tier (e.g $2-4 / month – where you can say “for the price of latte…”) As it stands I see luminary more likely to burn through their funding long before they approach anything resembling Netflix. I also gotta believe the Podcasters have seen some serious drops in audience numbers which isn’t going to help them attract guests and stay relevant.
